Usually in most countries they dont let you have white out or any other removal of mistakes type thing. I remember making mistakes and doing it all over again. But it kinda depends on the country....since they have different rules in filling out applications.
I found this on the online application for US:

WARNING: False statements made knowingly and willfully in passport
applications, including affidavits or other supporting documents submitted
therewith, are punishable by fine and/or imprisonment under provisions of 18 USC
1001, and 18 USC 1542. Alteration or mutilation of a passport issued pursuant to
this application is punishable by fine and/or imprisonment under the provisions of
18 USC 1543. The use of a passport in violation of the restrictions contained
therein or of the passport regulations is punishable by fine and/or imprisonment
under 18 USC 1544. All statements and documents are subject to verification.

I think you should redo it.
hope this helps.
and good luck

You'll have to download another application and print it out. NO mistakes. You don't want any mistakes on this thing. If ANYTHING is wrong, even something as trival as that, you could be denied.

Also, if you're living within 3 months, expedite the order. You'll get it sooner, which is better in the long run.

I would download another one and fill it out correctly. The info must match when you go down to the office and apply, they take your birth certificate, send it all off. It is taking forever and if they have a problem with your information, they will send it back and you will have to start all over. So make sure its all perfect from the start.

They will call you if they aren't able to accept it. I wouldn't take the chance. I would just download the application again and start over to be safe. Or call the passport agency and ask if thats ok.

Why not print out another one and replace the one page. I don't know if they will accept it or not, but why risk another 3 month wait to find out when the solution is so simple.
