I have a protoype lure. A worm. that I would like to present to the right bass fishing lure company but don't want to just hand it over.
Zoom, BErkley, Strike King, Yum, etc. could use this

Years ago I developed, made, sold & used a fishing lure of my own design. At first I went around to tackle shops, gave them one & my business card. It was very successful (to the point that I could not keep up with the sales). I contacted a patent attorney, he said sure you could get a patent-just spend the money & what are you going to do when a factory in China copies them? I also presented them to a manufacturer & they said “looks good, we could get them made for pennies in China”.
My advise-go to tackle shows & hope for the best-someone may make you an offer you can’t refuse.
PS I quit making mine commercially, only for myself

Zoom is definately the way to go...they do not rip you off of your lure. Call them up, make an appointment to see them, and talk to them about it. If you go to another company make sure you put a copyright on it if it is that important.

Get legal representation before you approach those companies. That way you won't get ripped off.
