Well just see how things play out. If you're not comfortable with the situation I suggest that you simply tell him you're not ready to make that next step quite yet, but that you really like him. If he really cares about how you feel he'll take what you've said and understand where you're coming from
Just cause you guys have a dinner date doesn't mean you owe him anything. You both are there to enjoy each other's company. Good Luck.
