Hey, does anybody know easy recipes to help your hair shine or become healthy? I don't have a lot of resources for ingredients so I can't get avocodos or something like that, although I think i have olive oil, thanks!

Shiny Soft Hair Treatment
In a small bowl, mash and combine: 1 avocado (1/2 for shorter hair)
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon olive oil

Apply to hair and allow to remain 30 minutes or longer, then shampoo and condition as usual. Amazingly silky, shiny, soft hair! http://www.care2.com/greenliving/avocado-kitchen-cupboard-beauty-tips.html

Banana Bread Head

Have a couple of bananas that have ripened beyond their prime? Don't throw them away! Treat your hair to this vitamin-rich conditioning pack by blending a banana with a tablespoon or two of honey, plus a few drops of almond or vanilla extract for extra shine and a yummy fragrance that will remind you of mom's fresh-baked banana bread.
Ingredients:

* 1-2 ripe bananas
* 1-2 tablespoons honey

Directions:

Mix together banana, and honey in a blender. Wet hair with warm water and apply. For extra penetration, use plastic shower cap or wrap your hair with a towel. Wait about 20 minutes - perfect time to try the banana mask below - then rinse thoroughly, following with shampoo and conditioner as usual.

Mashed banana functions as a mucilage, much like aloe vera gel, protecting hair from environmental damage and smoothing frizzy flyaway hair. By bringing moisture to the surface of your scalp, this pack also serves as an excellent treatment for a dry, flaky scalp.

Caribbean Conditioner

Avocados are just one of the fruits grown in abundance on the West Indies islands near South America. Islanders enjoy them for their rich velvety texture and buttery taste, which compliments spicy West Indies cuisine. Avocados' monosaturated fat is good for the heart when consumed but the protective properties of this fruit's fat are also good for the hair when applied in an inexpensive, easy-to-prepare conditioning treatment.
Ingredients:

* 1 ripe avocado, mashed
* 2 tablespoons yogurt
* 1 small lime

Directions:

Grate 1-2 tablespoons of zest from the outer skin of the lime; reserve. Mash the pulp of one very ripe avocado together with 2 tablespoons of yogurt and add lime zest . Massage mixture thoroughly into your hair and scalp. It's best if your hair is already wet and warm from the shower to aid absorption of the conditioning oils. Wrap hair with a plastic shower cap or wet towel, let penetrate for 20 minutes. Shampoo and lightly condition.

First you need to figure out why its dry and get it at the source.. Is there color on your hair? Are you using too much protein(too much is as bad as too little maybe even worse)? Is your shampoo and conditioner right for you (maybe its too clarifying)? Flat Ironing? After you figure out why its acting up you can try to change your habits.. (I know its hard) You can get your hands on some chamomile oil (health food store) saturate your hair with it and use a shower cap to keep some heat in. And sit on it for 30-60 min. That should help... but remember its just a temporary fix... you need to find the source..

Pout some olive oil on your hands, work it through the hair, let it sit and rinse thoroughly for about 20 minutes, or your hair will look really greasy. If you want, after rinsing, shampoo your hair.
