Unfortunately that's the only choice you have.

The best thing...once you've fixed your problem, is to set your own restore point that you can go back to later if necessary. Perhaps you can explain your reason for wanting to restore as there might be another solution to fixing the problem.

System restore points are automatically set, sometimes to save computer memory only one restore point is kept at a time, becuase storing restore points takes alot of memory......Your best bet might be to do a complete system restore which would return the system to what it was when it was brand new (WARNING: ALL your files and programs that you added will be erased).....Therefore you might what to backup everything you would like to keep on an external hard drive and do this complete system restore

To do this system restore you would need the system restore CDs, depending on your computer you may have gotten them in the box or you may have had to create them when you first set the computer up.....If you have questions you should contact your computer's manufacturer directly and they will give you directions....they may be able to send you a copy of the required discs for a small fee (like $5)

Hope I was a help

This means you havent set up any restore points and may not have properly maintained your computer you need to do backups often if you have alot of important things you dont want to lose. You may have to start from fresh// sorry
