I have a large box of cards I inherited from my mother. She had put the envelopes around the cards. Now they are all stuck together: card & envelop. What is the quickest way to unstick a lot of them at once?

Forget saying to use steam, I have over 100 cards, steam would take forever. And the answer about throwing them out was just dumb--if I were going to throw them out I wouldn't have asked for help.

you can try sticking them in the freezer for a little while then carefully pull them apart. Steaming might also help but that would probably take a long time.
I don't envy you that job. Good luck!

steam them. Boil water and wait until there is lots of steam and hold the cards over it. It will melt the glue. The only problem with this is it might not seal again but thats what the beauty of glue sticks are for. Good Luck

I really wouldn't know what to suggest - however - would it really hurt the cards if you very carefully slit them open and when you used them - artfully use sellotape or similar?

Has to be better than throwing them out.

No chance that you could find envelopes to match anywhere?

Sorry - not much help but it's a bit of a sticky one isn't it?!!

No - you are quite right ....... IT'S NOT FUNNY!!

Good lick - sorry - LUCK!
