My mother and my oldest sister were immigrants from Great Britian. They came thru Ellis Island after WW2. She had married my father in London during the war and my sister was born there. Legal immigration is good for all. Illegal is just that- illegal. Follow the laws of the country you are going to.

Everyone except for native americans in the USA are immigrants period end of story. Although some small differences are that some of the early immigrants founded this country like my ancestor did. But thats still doesnt take away from the fact that they were immigrants as well.

My family has been here for so long, I had relatives in the revolution and I'm part Shawnee. So I can't see what it matters as I was born of 2 legal American citizens in the USA.This is now a nation with laws, etc. regarding illegal aliens and we don't want them here. This is no longer a frontier or a territory, this is the USA!

My dad was an Immigrant from Russia. he came through Ellis Island at age 7 which was in 1927. His father was born in the USA so I suppose it was ea sier for my dad to come into the states.I heard that during the 1920' it was harder for people from Eastern Europe to enter the USA because of restrictions at that time.
My mom was German and Mohawk Indain.

EVERYBODY immigrated here. the only problem is that "white" people (whatever that is!) believe America is their land, that they have a right to be here. But other ethnic groups dont?

the news is corrupted, and all people hear is the bad immigrants (criminals, etc.). there are way more good immigrant who came here to make a better life, and YES actually WORK. and the work they do is hard, its building houses and buildings, and of course, the work lazy people dont want to do (e.g. cleaning their own houses).
