Under God's direction, Moses' army defeats the Midianites. They kill all the adult males, but take the women and children captive as sex slaves. When Moses learns that they left some alive, he angrily says: "Have you saved all the women alive? Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the female children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." So they went back and did as Moses instructed, killing everyone except for the virgins. Who is somebody to declare somebody else as infidel and kill them. If you see from the other person's view you will be an infidel. All stupid. When I was employed in Saudi Arabia, if i meet any Saudi the first question is "are you a Muslim", when I say "No", he will say either "bad (Karban)", or "Non believer". But bloody non believer means? You have to believe in something in the world. Some people think only of religion since I think, they do have any other job in the world.

I think you have to understand the Jewish notion of Yahweh's blessings to understand the symbolism of the passage. A lot of things in the Old Testament are images which convey the truths of the workings of God, and are often misunderstood. The OT (and much of the NT, for that matter) should be taken literally, meaning what the author intended to convey, but not literalistically, meaning blind faith in words on a page.

Even when their holy book explicitly describes God-approved atrocities the likes of which would make Adolf Hitler proud, they still try to claim their god is "just, loving, merciful," etc, etc...

The God of the old testament is the same as the new. ( He is the same to-day , yesterday day and tomorrow) God loves everyone and killing is wrong. God tells men to love their wives as Christ loved the church, and he died for the chruch. The same rule gos for love your neighbour as yourself.

The Israelites didn't have sex slaves. Read it again. Sexual reasons isn't the only reason for sparing young, unmarried women. We just think that way in a perverted society.

This shows the christian god is better than the muslim god, they only get 72 virgins, christians get 32000.
