If I hear this one more time i'm gonna puke! I don't want to hurt your feelings but i'm gonna. Yes technically its true, muscle does weigh more than fat, but it doesn't matter unless its all muscle and your a body builder. the next time one of those kids say that yell at them! cause unless you and the kids at your school realize that your FAT then you can't change your habits. Listen dude, if your in high school and you weigh 350 LBs then there is something seriously wrong. just imagine how heavy you will be when your 20 of 30. Just because your health is not suffering now doesn't mean it won't in the future!!!!!!! Put down the pudding and pick up some dumbells. If you want your body to be heavier in a good way go to the gym. I was overweight in highschool and I took a weight training class for a gym class lost twenty pounds of fat and gained twenty five in muscle. Try it, You WILL like it.

Your BMI is actually 29.2%. You will need to diet exactly opposite of what an under weight football player does. Stay away from the peanut butter sandwiches, rice, and potatoes. Only save those for game day energy. You need to start downing the salads with low fat dressing and lots of crunchy veggies to substitute for chips. Eat low fat frozen yogurt for your treats and desserts too. My son actually has to gain 10lbs by the start of the season. Just get on a healthy eating plan and don't call it dieting because then it doesn't sound so appealing.

Yes, it is a bit overused. However, anytime someone says that they have more muscle then fat, it doesn't mean it's an excuse. they may just be very muscular people. They may need the food to bulk up, even though pizza isn't quite the ticket. It is still used too much.

Muscle does weigh more than fat, but you shouldn't use that as an excuse if you can look in the mirror and not see any muscle! I'm not fat... I'm just fluffy! I used to skinny dip, but now I chunky dunk... that's my favorite by the way. Don't forget about big bones... some people just have big bones. I think I fall into that category. Big bones and solid, I'm solid.

well, muscle weighs more than fat BUT it depends on your body composition. if you're not one to lift weights all the time or engage in vigorous physical activity that develops muscle, then you may have more fat than muscle. 350 lbs is way overweight depending on your height. take a fat caliper test or have somebody calculate your body mass index. why listen to other overweight people who make excuses for not doing things to make them healthy? don't obsess about your weight. your goal should be a healthier lifestyle and keeping yourself alive and loving it at the same time. i'm thinking you're feeling unhealthy and you want to lose weight. go for it. reach a healthy weight goal.

It's not a term It's a fact that muscle is more dense than fat. However, if you weigh 350. I seriously doubt that the problem is muscle.

Yes . . . it's impossible for an ordinary person to eat enough to support 350 lbs of muscle. Most of their muscle will be in their legs, in order to haul that fatness all over. You forgot to mention "big boned" . . . . Good night!

Yes, I have to agree, but there are some cases where its true. Like my mother, according to the normal BMI is obese, but she's no where NEAR obese, because of her job as a massage therapist she has a lot of muscle and her BMI is measured in the athlete range.

I agree. People seem to have found countless excuses for their obesity.
I am not saying that all obese people are lazy, but I do agree that they do a disservice to themselves by coming up with excuses rather than work on becoming healthier.

I think it is over used....but for some people it is true. I hate it because I could never be 115pounds because the more I work out the more weight I gain.
