why not go on wikipedia then search something along the lines of "pop/african/latin artists"
obviously only one at a time
ive done it before with gothic rock
you get LOADS of answers and theyre in alphabetical order.

suggestion: try last.fm or even yahoo music. great sites where you can pick n mix the genres you like. you'd be surprised how many artistes you haven't heard of can turn up.
