I pay on time every month, and I think a positive record such as this would really help out my credit score.
Does anyone know how I could get my landlord to report my payment history to the Credit Agencies? I'd pay the fee if it was small.

Thanks

No. However, it is a good idea. Write your congressman. Maybe he /she can introduce an amendment that would include rental payment records in credit ratings. Why not.

No.

Credit reporting agencies report payment history on revolving credit accounts. Rent does not qualify as such.

Paying your rent on time is a good thing as your next landlord will probably want a reference from your previous landlord.

Talk to your landlord and ask him/her to work with you on it. If you're a good tenant, I'm sure they'll at least talk to you about it.
