Along with the different soy milks you could try Rice or Almond milk. My Fiance's brothers have to use rice milk since they are lactose intolerant. They love it because it tastes so sweet.

I don't have any problems digesting SIlk soymilk. I tried the Lactaid milk and had to go rushing to the bathroom as if I drank regular though, so I don't trust those lactose intolerance friendly brands.

I heard that the reason we develop lactose intolerance is that without drinking milk, our bodies decide to quit making he enzyme lactose. Theoretically, I think one can wean themselves back on to milk if they only drink a little each day and progressively increase the dosage until the body notices the milk and starts compensating by making more of that enzyme.

I'm currently trying to do that with cheese, since it's made from milk and doesn't give me the runs. Not much success so far though.

Silken soy now comes with a low calorie version. Only has 80 calories percup and it tastes pretty good. The green carton.
At first it tasted funny and I wouldn't drink soy milk it was to high in sugar and calories as a short stocky person I have to count every calorie. But this stuff did the trick and now I like the taste. It is better than that blue water non fat stuff.
Just read the label so you don't buy the one with the sugar and calories.

Try Goats milk it is more like human milk than cows milk is and is more digestible.
If you drink soy milk get ready to have a lot of Gas though. Soy is beans. everytime I would drink soy milk I got gas right after. and soy will also up estrogen a little because soy beans have natural estrogen in them. Soy milk is not natural because it is a bean originally and has to be processed. People think its good for you but they never tell you that soy can have worst allergies than milk. I would stay away from soy

Soy milk, they have different flavors. I used to babysit a little boy with this problem and with soy milk he never had problems. Something to keep in mind though, anything that would normally have milk in it like chocolate etc will cause the same reaction that drinking milk does. Halloween was awful for this little boy.
