I like a good debate, but it's incresingly hard to find here. Has anyone gotten an answer or read a question that rattled their beliefs?

No, it has never reached the point where I felt doubt because of a question. I have had to rethink my ideas, and clarified them often, however. My thinking has changed because of questions.

Oh yes, definitely so. Once I made a typo in one of my questions about religion and was brutally jumped on with its correction, from Christians. SInce then I've wanted to stop being an evil Pagan and become so nit picky I can forget the point? Lose sight of my purpose. Yep, That's exactly where I want to be stuck in life! NOT!!!!!

Is this a good example?

Some interesting folks I email and we IM each other for our discussions.
Got something you want to discuss?
Blessed Be

No, because people don't have any information. My beliefs haven't been "rattled", just profoundly solidified.

Oh, and I agree. It is difficult to find a good debate here. If one at all.

If you like a good debate you should probably try a discussion forum considering a person here can only answer once it doesn't give much room for discussion. If you are searching for debate/discussion you're looking in the wrong place.

No, most fundamentalists here, just drop a few mean words, regurgitate a few memorized Sunday school verses, and move on...they even have their messages turned off, so there is no dicussion to be had. Obviously, people who do this are weak in their faith, and cannot defend or explain why they hold the beliefs they do.

One of the regulars here, JellyBean (who has forsaken yahoo and doesn't come here anymore), posted a link that made me face my doubts about a certain touchy subject.

It didn't change my atheism in any way, but it made me realize an inner turmoil I had about the subject. You could say that it rattled my stance on that subject.

Sorry, I don't get rattled to easily. But, I too like a good debate as long as it is an intelligent debate and not a name calling/insult throwing session.

No one here has even slightly rattled my faith, except to make it stronger. All of the arguments against God are only testimonies to His power. The people here who say there is no God are to be pitied. But, there again, God said there would be people like that, once again, testifying that God's word is truth. Peace.

Honestly, this site is for questions and answers only, it is not for debate or chatting or some of the other nonsense you find here.
