Actually if you really really really really think about it, It's not that the idea of God has been deep inside us. But as humans evolved they had no idea what was going on in their environments when certain events such as volcanoes and hurricanes occurred. So they put labels to them. Have you ever stopped to imagine what it was like for the first person ever to witness a volcano? What they were thinking? how scared they must have been? Then they started to think that there must be some outside controlling force doing all of this. So as more time past religion came out of these thoughts. Now that we have science we no longer need an idea of a supreme controller to let us know what is really going on.

Uh huh. That's why more than 10% of Americans, 40% of Englandites, and ~40% of Europeans don't believe in a god. Heck, even the Buddhists don't believe in a god. So, atheists are at least the third or fourth biggest religion in the world.

Regardless of whether one is an atheist or not, the answer to me is Yes, people will always believe in God or gods. It's human nature to seek explanations to things we cannot explain as of yet. As the universe is seemingly infinite, our ignorance of its nature will likely continue indefinately.
Just because people will continue to believe in God or gods, though, doesn't make its existence a fact. Similarly, even if 100% of the world stopped believing God or gods doesn't make its nonexistence a fact, either.
People believe in God or gods because that is what their experiences, thoughts and emotions tell them to believe. Everyone has different ones.

I realize that; however, most religious people tend to push their beliefs onto those who do not believe.
Why is it hard for believers to leave those of us who chose to not believe in a god alone? And NO! we do not need to be saved, since that is the answer some tell us.

After a mutually as i found out that I might desire to perhaps start to think of heavily and analytically approximately my ideals. It replaced into then that I dipped my toe into the super ocean it particularly is life like questioning. I now have a special set of ideals which could substitute on each occasion i somewhat see suitable, i'm at peace of recommendations with myself, and that i'm proud to not be obdurate approximately ideals. examining society, non secular peoples notably, I word that many many theists are an identical way, they're obdurate and ignorant. regardless of the indisputable fact that it is not their fault completely, the church makes use of scare strategies and adolescents manipulation as 2 of its greatest strategies of protecting human beings in. sometime, human beings will become a lot greater life like and human progression will prosper. desire you enjoyed my tale!

I believe it to be psychological for many people...they absolutely have to believe in something beyond them to ever be able to comprehend life...many are losers in life, and see no purpose here on earth...so blindly trust in something greater than them, that promises that in heaven, they will be something....this also allows them to gang with other's at their church...and justifies them to point fingers of judgement at others...the way they have always been judged.
I do not believe this to be truly of God...but, I believe many use church and religion as a crutch for their pathetic lives.

*shrug* and there will always be people who dont believe in god, whats your point?
and actually the need to seek higher authority (if your speaking of god/gods) comes with ignorance, a lack of understanding on how things work.
all you have to do is look at the history of gods. gods who controlled tides, lightning, thunder, fire, moon, sun... and the list continues...
