"true love waits" i personally dont have a problem wit it cuz u seem genuine. heck, my grandmother got married when she was 13, no lie. i think society has placed a stigma of emphasis on age and whats appropriate. with that said i suggest you pray on it and you'll be lead in the right direction. i dont encourage it but i dont cancel it out either.
--good luck

Find someone else. At that age, 10 years makes a big difference, not to mentioin she's underage. Even if you wait until 18, you'd be 27 and that is really too old to be with an 18 year old. If you were 50 and she was 40, that'd be a different stroy.

There is none so blind as those that WILL not see. You asked, “How could Eve have possibly known that what she was doing was evil until after she had done it?” Viva replied, “God told Eve not to eat the fruit of the tree. But she did it anyway. This is rebellion and it is a sin.” The Bible says, “The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'" (Genesis 3:2-3 NIV)” Your reply to Viva – (and the Bible) “How could it be a rebellion if she didn't know what she was doing was bad?” According to the Bible, Eve did know the consequences of disregarding the instructions of God. My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. (1 John 2:1 NIV) It seems, you want to bring God down to our level of understanding. We cannot understand the ways of God. The Bible is written in a basic way for us. If it were written with more detail we would never understand it. You also state, “I am an atheist, former Christian, and I can't help but wonder how people reconcile this. Thank you for your answers.” My understanding of ‘ATHEIST’, is one who has done research, and has come to the conclusion, (believes, has faith in the findings) there is no God. If that is the case, would that one be bothered with questions you ask?? It seems you are STILL interested in the things of GOD. Good on you, keep searching, He WILL find you. “Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.” (2 Peter 3:15-18 NIV)

It can't happen legally, and since the relevant laws couldn't be considered contradictory to God's laws the Christian perspective is to comply. I'll confess to having had a crush on a minor when I was in my 20s, but I knew there was no way anything could (should) happen between us until she was 18. As it turned out, she was no longer available when she turned 18, so I got on with my life. There are plenty of women out there, trust me you'll have other, legal, options.

You are a grown man and she is a child.
You can be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
You can be charged with statuatory rape, since she is underage.
If it's really real.... it will last until you are both old enough to have a relationship.
She has so much growing and maturing to go through over the next few years.... let her have a chance to grow up first!

You will need to wait at least three years to ask her out and start dating, if you try to do anything about it now you could end up labeled a pedophile and remember 15 will get you 20.
