Faith is easy to loose, especially if all you listen to is the propaganda on TV, Radio, Internet, ect.

How much time to you allow for actually learning your faith and asking these questions of your Priest or Religious leader? If you ONLY ask a majority of non-Religious people, then guess what you are going to use to form yourself?

That does not mean you should blindly follow your faith, but that you should not blindly follow society and consumerism either.

You have to strike a balance.

Good Luck and God Bless.

Only God knows why people suffer. His own Son suffered and died for all of our sins. God sometimes has to chastise, or discipline us, in order for us to realize something He has been trying to do in our lives. He disciplines out of love, just like a parent does to a little child. Other times we suffer as a test of faith. The Christian life isn't always going to be easy, but it will only last for a season, and the rewards in Heaven will last forever. Those who do not accept Christ condemn themselves to hell forever, it is of their own choosing, because they do not believe. We were born with a choice, and even though it may seem harsh to be in pain and suffering for all of eternity, that is the price that people pay. This is why it is the job of Christians to spread the gospel in order to save people from spending all of eternity in hell. I'm sure you may have a lot more questions to ask, and I may not be able to answer them all, but if you want you should contact my pastor by visiting his website at chuckbaldwinlive.com. Stop blaming God.
Death, disease, famine, etc, etc is the consequences of sin.Man's petty ways of trying to make the world a better place is also to blame.Adam and Eve thought they could think for themselves,so they believed the serpent instead of believing what God was telling them. The rest is history. That's why I've always said,if a person doesn't know what sin is.How could they possibly know we live in a fallen world. It's not God's fault we're in the shape we're in.It's us.That's why we need Jesus to be the mediator between us and God.No one can go before God alone and enter into Heaven.

We are not of this world, we are only in it. To put it in earthly terms, it's like we're living in a foreign country under a foreign ruler. In our case, it's Satan who is *currently* and *temporarily* in power. God doesn't make us suffer, though He does allow it. The wages of sin is death. Therefore, it is not God who causes suffering, but sin. As far as those who are sent to hell, God gave us the gift of life through Jesus Christ. If there was no Jesus, everybody would rot in hell. Going to hell is a personal choice. I could give you a million dollars and tell you that all you have to do is say that I gave it to you in order to get it. If you refused, wouldn't that be your choice? God gave us the gift of eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ. All we have to do is say that He did it. If we refuse, it's like spitting in God's face. He gave His ONLY son. If we refuse the gift, that's our choice.

What if you had to give the life of your only son in order to save the entire world from some terrible plague. Then, after your son is dead and gone, the world ridicules you, your son, and everything he stood for. What would you do? Would you just say, "Well, it doesn't matter. It was just my ONLY son. I think I'll go ahead and help these people out anyway."

Sin causes death and disease, and all of us are sinners. There are NO innocent people. Jesus Christ is the way to eternal life. It's a no-brainer. Peace.

He loved us because the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sin. If you reject what He did on the cross for you then you send yourself to hell. People suffer because of sin. Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

God doesn't want us to become too comfortable on Earth, otherwise, we'd trust the earth more then God and Heaven. Heaven can't be paradise if we already live in one! And yes, Hell is harsh. It's true. But remember, Hell is punishment for not trusting God, and we need to trust our creator anyway! If we don't love god, hell is just eternal separation from him.

I am glad that you have thought of this.
Some Christians may say because they deserve it, but I thought that this "God" loved everyone, so when you really think about it, that doesn't seem like love if someone does that, now does it? Well, it doesn't, unless they end up being happy with their lives in the end.
And you are right, it is too harsh, but I guess I will leave it up to Christians to answer this.

The trials He gives us are what makes us strong. He is trying to teach us something here. We are only here for a short time, then He has other plans for us. What we learn here will help us when we go to the next stage. I don't think He does send people to live in hell forever......only until they have learned a "lesson" that He has been trying to get through to them.

God loves us so much that he gave us life and the will to live as we please. He gave us a savior who lived a life free from sin; yet, was condemned by men who nailed Him to the cross and allowed Him to hang there to His physical death. But that sacrifice provided salvation to all who believe in Him, and in salvation we have eternal life, which is forever.

The life that comes after this physical one is free from the pains of this world, which is ruled by men. God loves us and wants us to spend eternity with Him. He loves you and is calling you. He has a place set aside for you in eternity if you choose to believe.

People send themselves to hell when they turn away form God and choose not to believe in Jesus. God isn't harsh at all. He gave us His only son. All we must do is believe in Jesus and repent and we will spend eternity in Heaven with God. God loves us unconditionally.
