You can't there is absolutely no way to do this unless you have a computer with a portion of the drive devoted to recovery. This is standard I think on HP PCs.
If you have an HP then you restart the PC and where it shows the HP logo in the bottom right there should be options for recovery.
I would recommend that you download a copy of win XP off of bittorrent or get a friend's XP CD then on the install you enter your own serial key.
The serial key should be on a sticker on the side of your PC.

No. While you can format the computer and remove everything, you can not put it back with the CD.
If you have a valid activation code (on a multi-colored sticker somewhere on your PC) then you can use ANY Windows XP CD to reinstall in the program. Borrow one from a friend. Or contact your PC manufacturer (or Microsoft). Normally they will supply you with a CD that you can use with your activation code for $10-20.

you ought to understand first that abode windows 98SE basically knows and makes use of FAT32. additionally, it particularly is larger to place in an entire version of abode windows XP, particularly than to enhance from abode windows ninety 8 to XP. once you format for win98 you're frequently using the FDISK application from the bootable floppy disk. Fdisk can create one or many partitions on a tricky disk. the 1st partition, C: is considered common, and must be set as 'lively', which potential you will boot to the C: partition. the different partitions after C: would be logical partitions, D:, E:, F:, and so on. Fdisk facilitates you to pass with what proportion partitions and how great each and every would be. it is your option to have one entire rigidity as C: common. basically in case you notice a partition including your C: or D: with much less area stated than actual exists, probability is there is a few un-distributed area. it particularly is area which you has no longer yet been intense point formatted. an prolonged partition would or won't exist, so as a manner to re-declare the lost area you may ought to re-partition and re-format the disk, or the non-unfavourable approach of using Partition Magic to effectively cope with your partitions. in case you run Partition Magic now, you may have the potential to re-declare un-distributed area, convert FAT32 to NTFS and merge partitions without loosing any archives.
