probably after a few days of your body being in starvation mode. but that is pretty stupid if you are actually doing this. when are you gonna learn?? you might even lose your period. just look at nicole richie. just took 10 years off her lifespan ;-)

The dietitian and doctor that I have currently helping me through this disorder have taught me a lot... first of all, it's true when you hear that bulimia doesn't help you lose weight. It doesn't. Bulimia causes mostly fluid loss... fluids, electrolytes, and about a maximum of 15% of the calories the person just took in.
It depends on how the person goes about this though. If the person is taking in very few calories to begin with, however, and purging all or even just some of he/she -does- intake, then the body does literally go into starvation mode, and the person will lose weight due to -restricting-, not the purging.

If you are thinking about throwing up to lose weight that isn't a very good idea. You won't lose weight that quickly. Plus, your hair and teeth could fall out. You could damage your heart and do irreversible damage to your throat, and esophagus. Losing weight is not worth dying over. Please talk this over with someone and seek out a psychologist.
