It started out raining this morning and then it stopped and
the sun tried once to come out. It is dark again and
now thundering and here comes the rain again. I am
getting tired of these summer days here, not to mention
hurricane season. Time to move but where to?

I really should not complain
when there are places who do not
much rain at all. It's more the worry
about the hurricanes, of course last
summer they said it would be a bad
summer and scared me and we
didn't get anything!

Southern California today is.... Southern California.
Not too hot yet, it will get somewhere in the upper 80's - lower 90's later.
Not much rain, so we are at a fire risk, but our real fire happen in December lately.
Hey look, is it snowing??? No, just ash falling - hope Santa can still fly....
We are losing our seasons here - not that we had a whole lot of change, but there is even less now than there was 15 years ago when I moved out here.
When it hardly changes, we tend to forget how nice it is here and we get complacent.
Good luck with the rain - splash in a puddle for me please!

I agree, you would imagine that 'The Sunshine State' would be full of sunshine, but it's far from being that. I live in Miami, and I was looking forward to some nice weather this morning, but as soon as I stepped out, the rain started falling like there's no tomorrow.
It's not so bad now, but I know that it WILL start raining later this afternoon, and if it doesn't the sun and heat outside will be enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk. But that's Miami for ya. I hate the hurricane season.. can't wait til it's over..four more months to go :O) keep your head up lol.
Look at it this way.. we have hurricanes and awful rain down here in FL, but if you move somewhere else, you'll find something else to deal with.. earthquakes, tornados, blizzards.. you get the idea. So we're better off with a little rain.. dont'cha think? ;O)

I live in Central Illinois, and right now it's sunny and clear but HOT and HUMID. Any where you move is going to have it's ups and downs when it comes to the weather. For example, no hurricanes here, but we do get tornadoes. you could move to northern Montana to escape the heat, humidity, and storms, but the winters are bitter cold. And the few places that have perfect weather most of the time (like Hawaii) have such high costs of living that the option is likely not open to you.
Personally I'd pick the Ozarks. The have a reasonably mild climate and the people are great!

Try the Atlanta metro area, you have the warmth of the south and you get the true seasons without the heavy snow.
I know what Fl. feels like . I remember Christmas poesy for a picture with sweater on, and then taking it off as soon as the photo was taken. But here it really is nice ( North of 285 )

We moved to Connecticut and every day we look out our window and marvel at the deep greens and magnificent colors of the vegetation here. When it rains, it is a gentle usually day long rain which feeds the ground.
What a lovely place. I do not miss Florida at all

Hot, intermittent rain. Flooding in some areas (Western Missouri)
It's important to know that while the net (not surface) temperature of the ocean governs the intensity and number of hurricanes, its the El Nino/La Nina cycle that determines whether or not we get them.

It's sunny but a chance of rain here in North Carolina.
