I have a lunch interview with 2 of the HR Managers and their boss tomorrow. I already had an interview with the 2 HR Managers at their office a couple of weeks ago. They were very friendly and asked the basic interview questions. They are looking to hire 2 people. So I have been invited to lunch with the 3 of them plus one other candidate. So i am wondering if they are having lunch with several candidates and doing it 2 at a time. What kind of questions do you think they will ask? I know they will want to see how I can interact socially and if their boss will like me. We are having lunch at one of their restaurants. Its a company that owns several well known restaurants. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

If you have questions about the meeting ask the HR rep-Are other candidates being interviewed on this same day or another day. THis will let you know where things stand-or you could just ask-are there other luncheon interviews scheduled. My guess would be no because they are so expensive.

SOunds like you and another candidate are going head to head-just make sure you order neat things and if you havent been to the restaurant ask for suggestions-say that you love pasta or seafood and wonder what he/she recommends. Shows you respect their opinion and gets them talking-which is something you want to keep'em doing, answering your questions!

Don't order anything that will take a long time to chew. Try and order the smallest version of whatever entree you have so that you can reply to any questions and DO NOT ORDER ALCOHOL no matter what they do. That is a test that lots of people fail-they dont realize that this is done solely to see if they have common sense. The boss can do whatever but you need to tow the line.

GOOD LUCK-I hope this helps!

You probably will get some of the same questions as before except that their boss will be asking but lunch is going to be a bit more casual. Usually a lunch interview entertains other types of questions about you rather than about your abilities. Choose a lunch selection that will be easy to eat and not messy and never salt or pepper anything before you taste it. It shows you make decisions before you have the facts!! Good luck.
