No........

The 10% is the fee that the bail bondsman charges for the use of their money to cover the full bond amount.

As another said....... you will not get it back. This is the fee for the bondsman's service of assuming the financial risk.

OK say the bond is $10,000 and you don't have that kind of cash. You give the bondsman $1000. He certifies to the court that if the person does not show up in court HE will pay the court $10,000. If the person does not show the bondsman has to investigate and use his time and money to physically apprend that person and bring them in. That is the only way the bondsman does not have to pay the $10,000. This is the service you are paying for.

For future reference. If a person has multiple charges where jail time is most definitly a factor it is often best to just stay in jail. Especially if posting the bond will cause financial stress. It will count as time served for one. For another since one has already spent some time in jail the judge may be more likely to reduce the charge or modify the sentence to include probation.

Bottom line is that will most certainly not get her money back.

NO. When bail is set by the judge it is money paid to allow the arrested person to be out on bail prior to a court date and you have several ways to pay it.
If paid in cash or as a property bond the arrested party will receive all of it back providing they show up for court.
When using a bondsman you are, in effect, using his money and paying a fee of 10% for that priviledge.
He pockets the 10% and is reumbursed if and when, as I said, the arrested person goes to court.

If there are any fines or court fees, they can take them out first. Your daughter will get the remaining balance so long as she does not miss any court dates.
