I've been overweight my whole life. I've thought of nothing but losing weight. I think about it non stop. Im always aware of my weight. But why is it then, that i can't get it together enough to lose the weight? I try exercising regularly but cuz of schedule, i can only do it in the morning and half the time i skip so i can sleep. And i'm trying to eat healthy, but it's like i forget my weight ONLY when i'm eating or wanting to sleep. If it's so important to me, shouldn't i be able to do it with ease? I've cried and been depressed about it for so long and to screw up every time it REALLY matters just depresses me more. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

I'm sorry; losing weight is a really difficult thing to do. Just remember: small changes are a key to starting a healthier lifestyle
*Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
*Walk up the escalator if there aren't stairs.
*During a break from work, just go outside and walk (you'll be more inspired to keep at it if it's outside on a pretty day) or do a few squats.
*Start small: Do a few crunches/ push-ups each day, and steadily increase the number.
*Even though your schedule is busy, try to fit in at least 30 minutes of walking or some other cardio. (jogging, swimming, jumping rope)
*Turn on some upbeat music and just dance... At home, this isn't embarrassing or anything. Just relax and dance; it's really fun!
*Throw out all the junk food in your house, and don't let yourself buy any... When you're tempted to buy/eat junk food, picture yourself as gorgeous and thin... that'll keep your focus on the goal.
*Switch to whole grain foods; they are much healthier.
*Choose healthier snacks... We're always tempted by sugary and high calorie snacks like we find in vending machines. Instead pack an apple, a rice cake (they are REALLY good), or a nutrition bar.
*Add more servings of fruits and vegetables; it's tough, but they are healthy and can fill you up faster.
*When fixing a meal, prepare everything then put up the bags, boxes, etc. so you won't be tempted by seconds.
*Brush your teeth right before and after a meal. It will curb your appetite.
*Eat slowly and take smaller bites because the "I'm full" hormones will be signalled better.

You need to get a personal trainer at the gym. You need to start taking something to get your metabolism going so you won't be so tired. I really think if you are overweight quite a bit, then you need to set yourself a schedule for exercise, even if this does include cutting into your sleep. Stick with the schedule everyday. Then you will get used to it and you won't be so tired anymore.

I think you need to decide is losing weight important to you. If it is, you can do it. There is nothing that is impossible.

ok I mean this in the nicest of ways but i think it is your will power that is the problem you need to get motivated and how you feel also effects your weight like when certain people happy they weigh less and when they are sad/depressed they weigh more so don't be so hard on yourself because I'm sure you look fabulous the way you are!

I quit one of my horrible habits--because the SECOND that I KNEW that was it---I cried (i mean REALLY cried)
to God and ask Him to help me quit .
It was IMMEDIATE--He took the want from me for EVER wanting another cigarette.
ACTUALLY, they stink HORRIBLY to me, now.

JUST telling you what I did.

Incidentally--my mate and I eat Breakfast Bars by Slimfast EVERY day for breakfast AND lunch.
They KEEP you SATISFIED!
I PROMISE AND THEY PROMISE!
