She custom made curtains for me and charged me VERY little. I will be giving her more business as well. She took an existing curtain and changed the valances for me on two windows and charged me $150 (including spending time to come over and discuss and measure, making the valances and spending time to come over and hang them). In addition, she took a shower curtain and made it into a bathroom curtain for me and charged $20.

No need to tip. You paid for the service. Your repeat business will show her you like her work and prices!

Repeat business is a good way to show you value her service. Ask her if she has business cards to give to your friends. As to the tip, I've never seen anyone tip a tailor for alterations, but you could add $20 to your check as a surprize rather than handing her cash.

I wouldn't tip her anymore than I would tip the plumber. You contracted for a service, the service was completed and you paid for the service. By continuing to hire her and recommend her, you are bringing more business her way and that is even better than a tip.

If you are very well pleased with her Performance
it is okay to show your appreciation. As long as you
make an offer you can't keep up.Explain, normally you wouldn't do that.

she will be thrilled if you offer i think.

but more than the actual tip itself, she will probably value your reasoning and opinions more (as in, why you think she's great)
