I can see them up there and can hear the engines screaming. They are flying really low today. Why are they doing that? I can see the windows in the plane.

I do not live near an airport. As a matter of fact, the closes airport is in Chicago which is over 100 mi away.

I also do not live anywhere near a military base. These are passenger jets flying over. There have been 2 in the last hour.

May be its a training exercise, for more info call up the airport authorities if its stressing you.
