A good stealth pellet pistol? for in town quiet shooting?

Look at the Crosman 1377 or 1322

or find a single shot 22 that will shoot shorts.

Our neighborhood is infested with the little red fuzzy tail rats.
a good pump pellet gun is the only option to silently exterminate the hoard without pissing off the cry baby squirrel feeding idiots that create the problem to begin with.
with about 8 pumps I can generally put a fuzzy butt or fuzzy tail in the tank.

I am hoping you mean hunt instead of just kill. A good quality .22 with a 6" barrel will do the trick. I can get good head shots from a hundred feet or more with my S&W.

Here are my top suggestions:

Ruger MkII Target Automatic
Ruger Single-Six .22 LR with 5.5" or 6.5" barrel
Ruger Single-Six Magnum .32 H&R Mag with 6.5" barrel

S&W Model 617- .22 LR with a 6" barrel

A .22 rimfire is fine for squirrels. Do you prefer revolvers or semi-autos? Small semi-autos are unreliable with rimfire shells, even by Beretta and Walther. I have had no trouble with my Ruger "Mark III". I also use a Colt single-action "peacemaker" style revolver with different cylinders for .22 long rifle and .22 magnum.

try a .22 pistol or a .25 pistol, but check your local laws before shooting any critters, you may have laws against the use of a fire arm on them.

Walther P22

Works good, looks pretty nifty for a little .22.
