I really doubt it was given with the idea that the 16 month old wear it regularly. Pretty much all baby bracelets I know of are given as keepsakes, and worn for special occasions, like christenings, Christmas, getting pictures made, etc., but not worn regularly because a 16-month-old tends to take it off and it can get lost -- as you've noticed.
Put it in a jewelry box. When you pull it out for special occasions, have reasonable expectations, and when she takes it off, put it in your purse. Then put it back in the jewelry box.
She's too young to understand the idea of leaving something alone because it's pretty. To a 16-month-old, being pretty is the number one reason NOT to leave it alone.
For now, don't treat it like a piece of jewelry meant to be worn regularly just to look pretty, treat it as the keepsake it was probably given to her to be.

I would keep it in a safe place and use it on special occasions. At 16 months it is hard to get children to understand the purpose of jewelry. So if you put it up you can prevent it getting broken and have it when she get older and begins to want jewelry.

Welcome to toddlerhood. I am sure the bracelet is pretty and all, but save it for church and other occasions like when the person who gave it to her is around. When she wears the bracelet, try to distract her so she doesn't keep taking it off. Otherwise, save yourself the battle and help keep her from choking on it. (It will ,as all things do, end up in her mouth.)

Toddlers are not meant to wear jewlery, it's dangerous and frankly it's unnecssary. Most jewlery like that is meant to be a keepsake.
You can tell her it's pretty all you want, but when you're not looking she's apt to throw it away or worse...choke on it.

Welll accually you shouldnt give your daughter a bracelet cause if she dont want it then leave it! by the way if the baby plays with it she can eat it and you dont want that she dies?
Its very pretty and nice but if I were you I would better leave it!But latter when shes about 8 years old you can show it to her!But in that age its STILL to early!
HOPE I HELPED!

I think its asinine to put jewelry on toddlers, but, just like with hats and sunglasses, tell her to leave it alone and direct her attention to something else whenever you see her messing with it.

Jewelry on toddlers is a big nono especially if they can remove it on their own. It's cute for church or going out on special occasions, but do not expect her to keep it on for very long. At that age they are still apt to put it in their mouth. I'm sure it would look very cute on her in her casket after she chokes. on it.

well you could look into getting a new clasp for it. one that she cannot get off. if its coming off i would suggest not putting it on her just save it for when she is older.
