I think HL Mencken said it best when he stated:
"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary."

Well, it almost did. Remember the tsunami that hit South Asia? Also, I don't think it's a propaganda. Can't you feel the climate changing already? Temperatures are as high as ever. Storms seems to be very elusive here in the Philippines this year. Here, it's already fall, but it feels more like summer. Our dams are in critical levels already. Sore eyes, which is a common illness in summer, is starting to spread in some "barangay's" here. If it does rain, it usually lasts a couple of minutes, it's no relief really.

Who said the Maldives will disappear?
First of all, there is absolutely no doubt that the sea level is rising, and has been rising for the past 18,000 years, since the end of the last Ice Age. The amount of rise is quite large (400 feet vertical). The rise in the past had nothing to do with anthropogenic Global Warming, although Global Warming is expected to cause the sea level rise to accelerate.
Secondly, it is difficult to assess the sea level rise in any one place. This is because geological uplift and volcanic and coral island-building often keep pace with sea level rise.

Nobody said the Maldives were supposed to be gone decades ago. The oceans have been rising exactly as predicted. Please stop making stuff up.

I think everything changes and people are afraid of change. Spirituality empty hippie burnouts are looking for fulfilment in their old age and have foolishly rejected the values of their parents and the people who came before them. They turn to worship nature and when added to the desire of socialist manipulators to acquire power over others without meriting the acquisition you end up with global warming scares. A rich failed leftist politician in the US and a second rate geneticist in Canada ,neither of whom will debate face to face with their critics, are spreading the word and the easily lead buy into it.

I think that it's nothing but hype. I'm offended that people are making money off of it instead of actually trying to find a reasonable solution to the problem

They can use the propaganda all they want. It helps people like me that think that a technologicly advanced culture like our own shouldn't pollute anyways even if we aren't hurting the environment.

Global warming is a natural process and we are not speeding it up. Yes, it is propaganda to distract us. LOSERS.

Any leftist propaganda for bringing down the US. I remember 20 years ago when there was "global cooling" and that was going to kill everything.
