The options for stretch mark fading are:

1. Moisturizers and creams. Cocoa butter or anything containing vitamin E is good.

2. Alpha hydroxy acids to exfoliate the skin, soften the skin, and improved elasticity.

3. Tretinoin or Retin-A. This compound loosens the keratin in the outer skin layers and helps to exfoliate dead skin cells.

4. Surgery to remove the affected skin. A tummy tuck is one example when surgery removes stretch marks.

Cocoa Butter is great to prevent stretch marks, especially for pregnant women to rub it on daily to prevent. But after the fact, after you have them, Cocoa Butter isn't going to do anything for them. Neosporin makes a scare treatment, do just put regular neosporin on there, they make one specific for scares. Plus there is Mederma scare treatment. Also ask your doctor if neither seem to work after about a month of using them daily or as prescribed.

The best thing on the market for stretch marks is Strivectin. It is about $150, but it works before, during and after pregnancy. It greatly minimized my stretch marks a long while after my baby was born. You can find it at major department stores or by going to www.strivectin.com.

The skin is mostly protein. Amino acids are the building blocks for protein. To prevent or stop beginning phase stretch marks in their tracks, use an amino acid supplement.

To keep a balanced level of amino acids in order to have adequate amounts of protein floating in your entire body try spirulina capsules, tablets, or flakes.

Hopefully you would be using it BEFORE pregnancy or before you get the stretch marks, because it doesn't help after. The only thing that helps stretch marks is surgery or laser therapy. And then it doesn't really help the deep ones.
