his skin may just be affected different than yours. And the raised feeling you don't really want because it's irritated skin which happens to some people but not all.

Different people's skin in different places reacts different ways. I have a tattoo on my should that's still a tiny bit raised after 3 years. The tattoo on my ankle is flat after 6 months. Sometimes the "raised" feeling is scarring, it's something you would want to talk to the tattoo artist about.

I got my tattoo 2 years ago and it is still raised. I asked a tattoo artist and he says that it happened because of the way my skin reacted to the dye and not to worry about it. It healed really well and looks great!! But it will most likely always be raised. I guess it just depends on your skin type

Most guys tattoo's puff out more than girls, I'll tell you why. The ink in tattoo's are soppose to go down under 3-4 layers of skin. Most girl are easy, because are skin is so soft. But most guys can he hard because their skin is so tough. Your ink might have gone down 3 1/4 layers where his probally only went down 2 1/4 layers, you know what I mean? It's most likely never going to go away. It's not a bad thing though. It just means the ink is closer to the surface. You probally could've gotten a better tattoo artist as well.

I'm going to say that it has to do with the depth that the tattoo was done - and the resulting scar tissue. Some tattoo artists have heavier hands and tend to tattoo a little deeper, which is more painful and is more likely to leave scar tissue.

Talk with your artist about it.
The raised outline, should go
away in a few days. It is not
a good thing. It could be a
reaction to the ink, or scaring.
