If you want something to keep you going eat more proteins (ie: skim milk, soy milk, or an egg) or else you'll burn all the starches and feel hungry and dizzy. Plus if you eat proteins with starches you'll lower their glycaemic index even more.

I eat 300 calories for breakfast:
*35 gr fortified cereal
*125 gr skim milk
*200 gr fortified unsweetened orange juice
*125 gr skim yogurt

It's almost 15 gr proteins, NO added sugar, and almost all the calcium I need in a day. They keep me going for approximately 3 hours.

you could add a little peanut butter to the toast and then slice the banana on it and eat that. with the protein and fiber you should be fueled and feeling full to keep you going through the morning. otherwise an apple would be a good choice as well because of the fiber and water content it should satisfy you.

The banana has more calories so it would keep you going a little longer. Apples are higher in fiber so it would satisfy a little easier. I personally would go ahead and eat both because fruit is so important for health.

I would go with any of them. However, make sure your bread is whole wheat for the utmost in nutrition. Non-whole grain bread is seriously lacking nutrients and what is taken out in the the processing of the grain (the outer layers are removed for the white color) is put in, though not as good and not as much. (Hence the "enriched".) Supposedly, though, enriched bread is agood folic acid source, but I've only seen that from bread companies and a "bread council", but I get plenty and I'd rather have whole wheat.

I digress a bit.

I'm from India - where one would prefer mangoes or pineapples, or a salad with both, to go with honey wheat toast !
