Should i change my dress in public places like beach?????

Hi,
Once i went to a beach in kerala. I Took bath with saree only for safety and i didnt find any place to change my dress so at last ended in a common room for changing it so i took my chudi and changed still everything was wet i started removing one by one and i was trying to wear my chudi then after wearing i went to resturant with my friends there some old man were commenting out my moles in my body and they were commenting very badly i cant beleive how those old men was like that and they were watching me till i get dressed. They counted number of moles in my body and said the number and i felt so bad. Please advice whethere should ladies change dress in public or they should not even take bath in beaches????

Everyone has the right to bath at the beach

Those men were rude. They have no right to comment the way they did.

Next time maybe you should ask a friend to hold up your wet saree as a screen for privacy and change behind it.

Take a towell to so you can dry off then put your dry clothes on..

i ALWAYS go barefoot wherever and whenever i can, especially in the summer :] i was in the library working on a project yesterday, barefoot.. no one said anything. and right before that i was in a pizza place eating some tasty mozerella sticks. AND! i went into a store across the street barefoot for some icecream... no comments there. :] so maybe they SAY the whole ''no shirt, no shoes, no service'' thing, but i dont think many people actually care enough to make sure everyone is wearing shoes. :]

Many beaches do not allow public changing only in changing areas. It is not proper to change in front of people.

Firstly, why did you take a bath in sari on a beach in India, a highly populous country of various diversified kinds, both good & bad ? Secondly, why did you change the clothes at a place where a possibility of exposure to anybody's eyes exists ? You must have gone straight back to your place of residence after wiping on face & hairs only. Do not take a bath at public place in India where no change room type arrangement is there. This simple thing one should anticipate before doing so. As far as I know changing of dress by ladies at beaches in India is not at all advisable. Who knows that somebody is video shooting on mobile phones or watching with binaculars from long distance. Many journalists are in search of such opportunities. This world does not have all people broadminded & good like you. You cannot control others but you can control yourself. Think yourself what you should do.

Our society is like that. Whether you are in a public transport or beach, some bad elements are there to trouble females. This is more of a psychological problem and that fantasise many things out of it. Best way out is to ignore them. As long as they keep away from physical insult to you just treat it as verbal diaharria. Anyway before entering into water in a beach in Saree etc. please check whether there are facilities to change the cloth in private. Otherwise atleat quietly go to your vehicle and change. In our country men can do anything in public including urination, defecation and sometimes exposure of private parts. Unfortunately our custom and practise do not permit these to the fair sex. Just relax!

well depends, if it western country . there it's ok, but some countries specially in asia, well some care has to be taken by women, & yes women should learn how to protect themselves, then asking for support, you should learn from other ladies , without feeling, shy,

You should have knowledge abt yr safety, change room availibility, scururity, how secure for most of the girl that place. ,. if something typically happens then how u can protect yrself etc. before going to any place., & yes even if u have a group to rely on which include boys also, be firm on yr decision not to go to place which u dont think is secure, yr other female freinds may say yes to the invitation, but yr will is yrs, yr shame is yrs, & you r 1st responsible for yr shame & safety, So don't compomise.

For women, no, they should not undress in public. It'll start the men to thinking, and that's not good. I'm sorry it has to be that way, even when you come straight out of the beach.

Edit: @ Shasha: Men can because women don't often think as many sexual thoughts as men do. Men SHOULDN'T, but it is certainly more acceptable for men to be naked in public, even if I don't personally want to see it. For women, it can get a weird guy, likely one more agile than those old farts, to thinking dirty thoughts and in great detail, and perhaps rape her! We don't want that happening.

Those old farts were rude and wrong to speak the way they did.
YOU did nothing wrong.
It was those men who did the wrong things.
Me, I woulda confronted them and been rude right back, but not everyone is that bold.

Look the attraction in female is her body itself...
This is the reason why most of the girls expose to attract the attention of the boys... the more the expose the more the diversion of he attention .. If the expose style is bad , eventually the result is bad comments... If your intention is not to expose IT DOESN'T MATTER... because the no one need to understand the intension of the girl's this condition... because 99% is to expose only... It is not good to think that Public should not see what ever you do publicly... It is like Inviting some on to your home and asking not to see anything in... If some one comes then you must hear his comments.. or never give chance to come in...
I say changing clothes in beaches is not good ...I think you understand the reason... what i am telling...

its a free world and you live in a free country. if you want to change on the beach go right ahead, without worrying about what some senile guys might see or do. only if we exercise our rights will they be accepted, else the subjugation will never end!!!!!!!!!
