I have a DivX and VCD compatile DVD player and a whole bunch of .avi files that I would like to watch on it, I know that I can just copy the .avi files to a DVD-R and they should be watchable but i did this the other day and the first 2 episodes of the show I was watching were fine but the last 3 had problems with the sound, it was out of synch and getting worse. I checked my PC and this didn't happen with the actual .avi files there so I can only assume it hapened in the burning process.

My question is, I have Nero 7 and would like to convert the .avi files to some format (DivX or VCD or even DVD) that doesn't take forever to convert and is easy to use etc. I cannot find a converter online that isn't freeware and fully working etc, I have Nero 7 Ultra Edition but can't figure out how to use it to do what I want and I'm getting more and more frustrated...! Can anyone help me????

DVDs work off a different format than what you have, I tried playing these kind of files on my DVD player and only one worked. The sound didn't change at all., but avi files would not play at all.
