I am just wondering what ppl think. I say my prayers daily(sometimes two or three times in a day), try to do good deeds everytime opportunity presents itself, try to do everything by the book, I think I am a generally nice person who always tries to help someone in need if I am in a position to do so. I DO NOT go to church tho for a number of reasons which I don't have time to type, but I am not against church or those who choose to attend with GOOD intentions. I believe being a church member is a lifestyle not just something you do on Sat or Sun depending on your religion. I have a lot of issues with the term "religion" I think it segregates and sometimes makes ppl think they are better than ppl in another group. I have strong faith in GOD and want to spend my eternity by his side but sometimes I feel there is more I need to do. Any opinions, suggestions, comments? No sarcasm plz!!

I save myself thanks much. I don't ask anyone else, even God, to take responsibility for me or my actions. I don't want anyone's blood sacrificed for me, 2000 years ago or today. I take ultimate responsiblity for who I am and what I do. I don't need salvation, because I don't need to be saved from anything but my own decisions, for which I can only answer to myself.

As I understand the scriptures, being a good person, does not bring you salvation. If you have had a time in your life when you invited Jesus into your heart, asked Him to forgive your sins, and you really believe that He is the Son of God, born of a Virgin birth, then in my opinion you are saved. I can't believe that anyone who prays even once a day is not saved and you do more often than that. As for attending church. The Bible says,"forsake not the assembling of yourselves together". I love going to Church, David said"I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord/" Church can be a place to share your faith with others and a place to learn more about the Lord and His will for your life. Most likely, you just haven't found the right church for you. Keep looking, it can be well worth the search.

To grow in our relationship with the Lord we need need to know the word of God because Jesus is the Word of God. A good place to learn God's word is in a church where there is anointed teaching and we are commanded to attend church anyway (Hebrews 10:25). A church is a place where fellow believers can help, minister and grow together with one another in the process of them being transformed to be like Jesus. Going to church is important for our spiritual growth so go for it.

I dont go to church either, but I have a very strong relationship with God and Jesus. You only need to have faith in Jesus Christ and accept Him as your Lord and Savior...thats it. Keep being the great person you are and just have faith. God bless!

I will not bore you with a long drawn out reply except to say that we must have two modes of prayer in our lives, one is the private use of prayer and the other is the public use of prayer.
We are either the body of Christ or not at all and we should come together once in the week(Sunday) to demonstrate our collective love and praise for God, one without the other is totally unbalanced.
