Religion politics money all three equally responsible for many of the scars left on this world. There will always be religion or a belief people have to follow. It gives them a reason to be here and justification for there actions.

There will always be religions because no one can control what others believe. And yes there would be more war, but that maybe anyway.
Religions or beliefs do not cause wars, people do. Wars are about power and control, religion is inserted as a justifier, nothing else.
Before Christianity the known world was in a constant state of war. The Romans, the Barbarians, the Moguls, the Greeks, etc, all viewed war as a natural state of affairs. When the Romans turned to Christianity to help save their empire, then things changed, the Barbarians were converted to Christianity, and the wars, although they still happened, were fewer and farther in between.
Actually, in all of recorded history there were very few periods where there was no war. Humans view everyone as an enemy first, because that is human nature, to doubt, to fear what others might do.

Highly unlikely, humans have had religious beliefs since the beginning of recorded history, and despite many who have claimed that religion will die out over the centuries, there are still more religious people than non-religious. Religion may become increasingly marginalised but I suspect that some form of religion will always exist, despite the efforts of anti-theists and political correctness.
Wars are rarely directly linked to religion, but religion is often abused to draw believers into war, hiding the real reason. The real reasons for war are almost exclusively nationalistic, greed (resources), prejudice and corrupt governments (that provoke rebellion).

To date, there has never been a society which has been successful at "getting rid" of religion. Look at the USSR in the last century. It spend over 70 years without any religion being taught in the country. It raised at least two generations in which every child was pressed to be an atheist. Yet after the government fell, and religion was allowed back into the country, it took less then 10 years for the number of theist to reach over 70%.
There is a natural drive within every human being to look for God. As theist, we know it is put there by God Himself to draw us to him. Blaise Pascal is quotes as havingi it stated it as "In every man there is a God shaped vacuum, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in him".
In spite of what is often stated here, that religion with be gone within a few more years, the most recent polls taken show that the number of people who believe in God is increasing.

I think most people need to believe in magic. It's almost like it's hardwired into our brains. This means that only a few who really have a discipline to think through things will be able to throw off the web of religion. The real question is whether it is possible to modify religion so that free thought is easier and so that it still gives comfort to those that need the security blanket.

there will never be no religion, but I think it is a possibility that it will be reduces to small cults, as people use more logic and realise that most religions around now are impossible.
And to the guy that said religion astops war, Hitler was a christian, and many barbarians had their own religions. If you read this you will see that religion often promotes lsavery, rape, and murder, and with pointless disagreements over false beliefs of course it brings war - www.evilbible.com

Since some humans seem to have a slave mentality, and some humans are sociopathic, the two groups will probably always find each other. That is, after all, what religion's all about.

Neanderthals buried their ineffective with grave selections - so as that they ought to have had some form of concept in an afterlife. This makes faith older than cutting-side human beings (or in step with probability - a minimum of as previous as). we don't be conscious of if different early hominids additionally had religious ideals. or despite if faith is older than humanity itself. ..... The psychologist B F Skinner controlled to make pigeons superstitious. and a few observers have self belief that pigeons additionally tutor signs and warning signs of superstition in the wild. Is there a great number of a distinction between being superstitious and being religious?
