With the exception of the ones I already am familier with...I have to say I'm very impressed with the Jewish faith, I have had Jewish friends in the past but never knew anything about it.
I'm not going to take it up but I do now think Jewish people get a very bad rap. I wonder how many people take the time to look into other beliefs before knocking them?

I have studied the different faiths and I have compared them to the Christian values and beliefs that I grew up with and found that the Jewish faith lacked several things but the one I could not live without was - the belief in Jesus Christ as my personal Savior.
By the way, I have also studied Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam.Jainism, Ba Hai, New Age religions, Mormonism, Jehovah' s Witness, and several others. I found each sadly lacking because while each professed " a different path to god or gods" none really offered the truth about how to achieve salvation. Some didn't even in believe in salvation or a final judgment where each person would be held accountable for their actions.

It's funny that I came across this because I too have been looking at new faiths this week. I have spent most of my life studying spirituality and religion. I spent 22 years a Christian, 3 years looking into Buddhism and Taoism, 1 year looking into Gnosticism and also Spiritualism, and then 12 years in the Pagan faiths. (mostly Wicca, Druidry, and Shamanism)
Lately I have been researching Islam quite a bit just out of curiousity. I found a quote from the Holy Quran the other day that I just wanted to share with you here.
"A true believer is one with whom others feel safe. One who returns love for hate."
This quote says a lot about that faith. They are peace lovers just as most other spiritual paths but as with other paths they have their extremists. (this is in response to how many knock beliefs before looking into them.)

Our Jewish brethren ... many of them at least ... believe in the one, true God.
Unfortunately, there is no "standard" version of the Jewish faith existent in today's world, and what you may have learned about the Jewish faith only applies to a relatively small number of today's Jews ... and certainly not to the secular state of modern Israel.
Add to that the fact that the Jews continue to look to a temporary, outdated covenant with God, plus the works of the law for their salvation, and you might begin to understand the reason for the "bad rap".
When God gave the Jews the "first shot" at the best he had to offer, they rejected him ... and they continue to reject him today. So they're actually stuck with much less than they had in the time of Christ, and most of that is essentially obsolete, non-functional, or lost to antiquity.
Better do a bit more studying before you make up your mind.
The solution to all the existing problems of the Jews (and everyone else, too) is Jesus Christ and his new covenant church ... not an antiquated system of laws.

i think it is a good idea to have a good understading of religion before you penalise them
basically if you strip away the stories of any religion it all says the same thing god is youre saviour you go to heaven which is what you want it to be fluffy clouds of candy floss or 72 virgins and that any other religion is wrong
if every religion is like this then why are there other religions instead of one ultimute religion

When I went to Bible college, I studied Apologetics. (the defense of our faith) In order to defend your faith, you must learn aboout others for comparison purposes. I never knock another persons belief system. I do have many disagreements on other faiths, but I will not disrespect someone else, unless they disrespect me. But other faiths can be very interesting to learn about. I still choose to remain Christian though.

Everyone should be knowledgeable about all the major world religions.
Otherwise, your own faith (or atheism) is based on ignorance.
