OK I know it's petty but I'm not happy about it lol
I spent a bit of time writing out an answer to this question. Upon checking to see who got best answer I see that some guy further down the page has got best answer but he has just blatantly copied and pasted mine as he answer!!! But he got best answer and not me!!! Clearly the asker has not even read my answer - is it because I'm female?!? Just because I don't have a **** doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about!!

I'd be pissed too. I took my time typing out an answer to a question last week. I went back to look at the other answers and some douche bag copied and pasted my entire answer and he even got some thumbs ups for it. I was beyond pissed. I reported him because I was so mad but I don't think anything happened. The asker is a loser and he's blind since obviously you answered that question before the copy & paste dude did.

I hate it when people do that! Copying and pasting another person's answers is plagiarism and it's wrong. I don't know what's worse, a person who copies and pastes another person's answer or a person who chooses the copycat as best answer.
I asked a question a while back and some nitwit copied and pasted all the answers I'd already been given. I gave that person a thumbs down and most certainly did not choose her. Then again, I read my answers thoroughly and choose best answer based on the content, not the person's avatar or level. (Some people like to award points to the person who has the least amount. That may be what's going on here, since you're level 5 and the guy who copied you is level 2. It's still not right and it's considered point gaming, if it can be proved that that's what the guy did.)

Sorry your ticked off, it rather amusing though- the little blighters are no doubt winding you up! You clearly deserve the points but alas such is the whim and prerogative of louts and lummoxs on Yahoo! bloody answers. It's not because your female. If anything, women get advantages over men in being rewarded for things. It's a myth that women get short-changed.

Has often happened to me, if not copied and pasted, it can often be completely incorrect answer chosen simply because it agrees with either the view they have themselves or because they are friends of that person who is given best answer. Nevermind, in the end, it is them that lose out by not being open-minded enough to accept the possibility that another may be right. C'est la vie eh. : )

Yahoo! does not do any validations to check whether the answer is an exact copy or the like, but you can report this to Yahoo!
I feel very sorry for you and am sure your being female does not have anything to do with this.
Keep answering anyway and I do hope jerks like this wont get credit for copy-paste!

I can only think it was because you put in the "Know Your Source" box that you got this information from playing a computer game. But I must admit that the other person has clearly just copied your answer. I would be bloody annoyed as well.

I recently had a similar experience and immediately made a complaint of plagiarism. On reflection, as there is not any money at stake, I should not have bothered as such pathetic individuals fool only themselves.
