Go to a relible paint store and bring home several paint chips of your preferred colour. Tape them on the wall where you want to paint. this way, you can observe how they look in daylight and at night in lamplight. they always look different at the store! I've also found when choosing your final colour, get one shade lighter because they show up darker on a large surface. I don't know your location but we have painted with Benjamin Moore paint for 40 yrs and it lasts and covers well.

I agree with the first answer. Whatever you do, do NOT use Behr paint from Home Depot, it is the worst paint that I have ever seen. If you go to Sherwin Williams, these guys really know their stuff and can color match any color that you want. They will also know what that popular color is that everyone is using in your area.

There is no one name for color palettes. If you head into the paint department at Loews or Home Deport or any paint store, you will see lots of choices and that the names of the colors depend on the marketing department for the brand. Bring the color strips home of the ones you like and check it out against your walls and lighting.

There are very many different shades and hues of this color, all you have to do is to go to a place like Home Depot and look at the paint swatches. You may find a couple of dozen different colors in this color range.
