Could you give us an actual example of their offenses? When you say they think they are very good looking, well aren't the gals very good looking too? Being good looking amongst average looking people is sometimes an advantage but when these guys have to compete with each other they go overboard. Some average looking people can scrub up really well with some help, but these are professionals and the agencies would take note, would they not, if someone was being a pain. Just ignore them if you can. If they are helping themselves to your makeup or hairbrush, put a stop to that. But if they know you prefer your best side to the camera and they try to pose you on the other side, stiletto them with your heel. Some of them don't have a sense of humour. I did some modelling a while back and the owner's wife absolutely hated me with a passion and everyone knew it. One of the male models asked me what I gave her for Christmas and I said A FRAMED PICTURE OF MYSELF (it was just a joke, I didn' t really) and he said I THINK THAT IS VERY ARROGANT AND CONCEITED OF YOU. And when I explained it was a joke, he didn't take it well.

These guys are compensated. I am saying they are very insecure as men. A male model is an insecure man in a world where his grooming routine is a joke among regular men. He has some issue with a weak ego- its fragile. Lots of men are scared of beautiful women. So they over compenstae for it acting tough dominant arrogant. They are not confident and they are testing you to see if you'll submitt to it or not. DONT . So look behind that arrogant facade . Who is he working for? People who are confident will also be gracious and polite. A narcissit won't get along with anyone . Learn to spot them before they spot you . Enter > VAKNIN into google . Learn to avoid the narcissist like the plague.
Good luck sweetie- it's not you. Men feel entitlement. They will say "Can I get in line in front of you?" " I need this job more than you do"
Say the word "MY"and get a book on assertiveness training. In your business it's survival.

Well I guess the best tip that I could give to you is to just ignore them. Since I have come to learn that you are very good at that, then I say go with that decision. Then if that does not work then either smack the crap out of them or kick in there manhood and then there world will be down at your feet. Good Luck MG.

Ignore them and don't stoop to their level. Keep your professional mien, and don't lower yourself to focusing on them. My sister was a model for a time, so I know what a cut-throat and superficial world it can be, and how it can be very hard work. The last thing you need is to be sidetracked by a bunch of low self-esteem morons.
Remember that looks will fade with age, and any model, male or female, can be replaced by the latest and greatest. When that time comes, you'll have yourself and your strengths to carry you beyond the world of modeling. They'll be stuck with what they've got - nasty attitudes.

Hi,
As you already have answered by 21 persons some of them are top contributor. I am just a learner but eagr to put my view as a answer to you. Diffrent person has diffrent mentalities. Suppose you want to be presented others in preper manner. It is your mentality that is why you like to prove yourself you will be talking nicely, you may well thought before you speak with them. But some people they think themselves are top of the world and nobody is perfect as they are. All these are non sense. You just convince them what they are doing. If they don't understand then leave as it is. Try to adapt yourself with them.

I laugh at people like that.
No kidding, don't let jerks ruffle your feathers. Just walk away and find someone else to talk to and ignore them as much as possible. I think ignoring them and laughing at them/being happy, irks them more than anything else.
If nothing else you could inform them that the world does not revolve around them and then walk away.

Stay out of fights. It is very unprofessional and could cost you jobs.
These people are insecure jerks with attitude. Just leave them alone. Their behavior is a reflection of them, not of you. Why even waste your energy in letting them get to you. Stay centered yourself, and let them deal with the consequences of their own negativity.

So they can "impress." Not all do that. Take your fair warning from that behavior if you see it, because if Mr. Cool is having to "act" as opposed to being real, then he's either lacking self-esteem or is shallow, shallow, shallow. Run the other way.

Even though it bothers you. . . Act like it doesn't.
If you aren't phased by them, it shows him that he has no reason to be arrogant (at least around you).
When someone presents themselves that way it's for a reaction.

Ignore them. And make it obvious that you are ignoring them.
When they try to talk to you and ask what is wrong and such...look at them as if they are asking you for the keys to your house and say, "Im sorry, you must be confusing me with someone that gives a crap about what you have to say." and then walk away.
They will learn.
