Generally not. The organisms that cause colds/flu in cats and those that cause illness in humans are different.

Some of the bacteria (e.g. Chlamydophila felis and Bordetella bronchiseptica) involved in "cat flu" can be passed to humans who have compromised immunity for some reason (e.g. AIDS), but even this is very rare.

Cats and humans do not share viruses. They cannot pass colds or flu to each other.

Further more, if a cat is sneezing a lot it should never be put down to being 'just a cold' - cat respiratory infections are serious!

no, its a different virus when cats and dogs get flu compared to humans and cant be passed on from pet to owner or vice versa.

No, it's a different virus that affects cats and humans, so it's safe to be around them when they or you have a cold/flu

cats can definitely pass on some of their sickness to humans...with deadly results sometimes.
