The only values to a Purple Heart are to the winner or his family if he did not survive.
Or to a collector if documentation is available and if it is of WW2, Korea, Vietnam vintage. This can be defined by the style of the engraving on the medal.
Of course under the new "Stolen Valor Act 2007" enacted by the US Congress, it is now illegal to sell a Purple Heart.

Purple Hearts are priceless for what they stand for, but as a physical commodity, not worth much at all.

If you are doing it for recognition and medals, you signed up for the wrong career. That being said, is PTSD worth wartime contracts for certain companies and protection of Egoes of politicians and politicians' Daddies? Hell No. Stay safe.

the medals themselves arnt worth anything its what they stand for...its like the flag in itself is just cloth but millions have died for it. or the constitution is just paper but millions have fought to make it a reality and keep it.
