excuse me?
God gave it to us all.
He gave you free will. He gave you the ability to sense right from wrong. he gave you the entire universe. He gave you the talents that you possess. Use the, to achieve your goals, but.......
Thank Him for it.
Do you not thank anyone when you get a gift? I know I do.

Imagine taking in someone off of the streets, getting them a home, all the basic necessities (water, electric, etc. keeping in mind they never had these "luxuries" before), getting them a very good job to maintain a decent lifestyle, a car, and so on. Now imagine stopping by to visit that person to see how they are doing and they just shake their fist at you and ask, "Why do you even stop by? I don't need you!".
You say we should get off our butt's and use our talents. Exactly. We should. Who gave you those talents, though? Who made this "insignificant" little being, this universe, this galaxy? You don't think after looking at a sunset, the fog settle in a valley, the Grand Canyon, etc. that you need to give praise to the creator of all these things. And what's wrong with going to church? His word encourages us to meet together frequently as believers. We should take advantage of that and also use our talents to create other opportunities to meet during the week.

God is greater drawn to a consistent, familiar existence of residing for Him and for others than he's in development great edifices for Him. He pronounced that even the style of small act of kindness as giving a thirsty baby a cup of chilly water won't pass unrewarded. it extremely is the form of acts of compliment and worship wherein he's maximum involved. in this i think of which you're on the main suitable song.

No, the best way to use talents is not to reach the stars, but to reach the world around you. Of all the vast universe that God has created, man is His crowning achievement. He has placed man over the rest of His mortal creation. He has loved man and called him both child and friend. He has given His only son to redeem fallen man. That is the point of praising God.

Honoring God is not the final objective. Nor is achieving, creating, etc. God offers us a supernatural relationship of love with Him. Praising and honoring God is part of that process of creating that relationship. It is setting the right concepts; that He is God and we aren't. We desperately want to be our own "masters of our fate and captains of our soul" and that desire will undermine any relationship with God.
Rooted in God as the source, we can achieve and build. But if we do it without God, all our building will be monuments to our own aspirations to be our own god.

Because apparently the abrahamic god has a frail ego that needs constant stroking... and since we are individually so very small, and the god in question is unfathomably large... it needs its ego stroked constantly by as many people as possible. If you insist on honouring him by other means... make sure that what you're building and creating are churches and shrines in his name... and be careful about reaching for the stars, as apparently god doesn't like that (see "Tower of Babel").
I mean it IS possible that it is trying to teach us to be more thankful for that which is given to us....... but then you've got to wonder what it is also teaching us when it goes and kills millions of people with "natural disasters".
Christians tend to claim "god has a plan".
I suspect he didn't really think this one through.

You are dead right i believe that to , I don't go to church but i do believe in god, But i don't see the point of going to mass when the church has done so much wrong, As long as you live an honest life you will be welcomed into the gates of heaven

Yes you are given the free will, so no one is forcing you to believe in God, to praise God, to follow God, but hey think about the consequences. You wouldn't like them. At first, you might be too scared of the existing hell that you would finally decide to follow his words, but till you grow, and learn more about Him, His goodness and unconditional love, you'll do anything by His grace because you already learned to love Him in return.
ok,think of this as a step, if there is no God, we christians won't lose anything at all after death.
but if there is God, well, the hell is waiting for those worthless beings.
but as a Christian, I see God, I hear God,.i feel God..I love God. i thank God for everything, for this life. I praise Him, for everything He has done in my life. everyday that I live, i am given the chance to change what I have to change in my life.
every day i die and born again.
il pray for u and myself, and everyone else. God bless = )
p.s. sorry for my poor english. ty!

What is the gain
At the end
When you realize
That it has not
What you thought
But emptiness
Loneliness
And a desire
To be
Yet again,
Yet again , Yet again
Anon
And so on
A stumble , a rise
A hope
A desire
To be
What is the gain
In the pain
Eternity
Why Thou hath deceived
The son of man
With the emptiness
Called
GOD

who says you have to sit in a church to praise God ? How is it that the universe is so vast & we are so insignificant, yet have the ability to reach out to other galaxies? Why not praise God? It costs you nothing.

Worship is for God and it is never the waste of time. The last commandment is to love the Lord with all of our heart and each other too.
