My dad used to tell me that there was a Talpade fellow in Mumbai who flew the first airplane before the wright bros. Is it true?
I am from the Talpade family and really would like to know more about this. Thanx.

It seems that every country tries to lay claim to being the first to fly an aeroplane. My wife is Brasilian and she says their was a Brasilian who was first to fly. However, the true first fliers were right here in America, the Wright brothers.
