There are literally thousands of religions in the world, broken down into several categories. I will try to clarify some of the previous answers with mine as well.
There are six basic categories of religious belief, along with a few various things that are not really considered a specific category, the six basic categories are:
Abrahamic - Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Bahá'Ã, Gnosticism and other sects and beliefs that have been based from these religions. Thiestic Satanism and Luciferianism would fit into this category as well, but modern Satanism based on the writing of Anton Lavey is not, because those Satanist do not believe in Satan as a deity or being, but rather and idea, they do not believe in any form of higher power. Zoroastrianism might even fit into this category due to its influence on the others.
Paganism - A rather catch-all term tha includes hundreds of ancient, indiginous, and modern religions that are not part of the Abrahamic or Eastern categories. This includes Wicca, Asatru, Sumerian, Egyptian, and many many more.
Taoic - Religions, or religious philosophies, that focus on the Eastern concept of Tao("The Way"). It is a large group of religions including Taoism, Confucianism, Shinto, Yiguandao, Chondogyo, Caodaism, Jeung San Do and Chen Tao.
Dharmic - This does not mean belief in many gods, many different beliefs believe in more than one deity. Dharmic religions are a family of religions which originated in India. They encompass the Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism.
Other/non-theological - This category basicly comprises other forms of belief such as panthiesm, deism, and others which don't really fit into other categories, and are more of beliefs without specific doctrines or practices.
Non-Thiestic - Basicly beliefs that are not really religious, such as athiesm and agnosticism, which are not really religions but rather philosophies, but they are still forms of belief, and just as valid.
Those are the basic categories for you. As I mentioned, dharmic does not mean belief in many deities, the proper term for that is polytheistic. Pantheism is a little more than the belief that nature is god, it literally means God is All, a view that everything including nature and the entire universe are the divine or part of the divine. This is also similar to panenthiesm, which is a similar belief, but sees the divine as encompassing the entire universe and beyond, a more transcendant point of view. These three things, along with about a dozen other terms I could type out here, are not specificly religions, but rather the beliefs of certain religions.
I hope this has been a help. I thought I should clarify a few things in this answer for you. For additional information about various religions, you can check out the following websites:

There are basically just five religions:
Abrahamic monotheistic = Christianity - Judaism - Islam = basically the same worshiping the same god. You can include Satanism in that because that is just a reaction to the others.
Dharmic - the belief in many gods
Paganism - the belief that there are spirits and that they control our lives
Pantheism - the belief that nature is god. The Aborigines of Australia and the North American native are forms
Atheism IS NOT a religion. It is rejection of the concept of any form of god and has no worship involved.
