well, i was watching tv, and like alwasy my mom just barged into my room without knocking, o well blah blah blah.
anyway on tv these 2 girls just kissed and my mom got totally mad, and said i shouldnt be watching that trash. well she got REALLY mad and she was yelling like crazy. but if im watching tv and a man and woman kiss, she doesnt care, i mean, there ARE lesbians in this world. and a kiss is a kiss. even if its a man and woman, woman and woman, or a man and man. a KISS is a KISS, so what? whyd she get soooo mad?! o and im 14 btw

Because parents tend to think that if something is seen by their child, they are going to want to do it. Although true in many cases, I always look at these things as an opportunity to discuss these issues rather than cast hell and brimstone on them. I was raised with alot of "Don't ever do this or that" but not given the reasons behind it and I did what I wanted anyways, so I have tried to put myself in my daughter's shoes at her age and do different.
