HI. Thinkenstein has given you the best selection .I would just like to say, see if you can buy 2 of them. You will get a much better sound because Subwoofers are an extension of your two left and right front speakers. The sound of 2 Subs will be better balanced and you wont have to turn them up as high as you would with one. and the sound will be in stereo for the upper bass frequencies.Depending on what size Sub you get and the area of your two front speakers it is possible to sit the speaker on top of the Sub. You attach spikes to the bottom of the sub so it sits on four points. Your speaker sits on top of the Sub also with spikes or performance points. This arrangement dissapates any structional vibration from reaching your speaker sitting on top.The end result is like having an extra bass speaker in your normal speaker,And it does not take up extra room sitting underneath your speaker and the two bass speakers radiate together to give you a distortion free bass.
Even if you cant buy two now ,you can always save up and get the other one later on. Trust me ,this will work. And your front sound will be amazing.

If you have a look at some Electrostatic Speakers, the bottom of them are attached to Subwoofers to extend the bass because they are unable to reproduce the low frequencies.

Many years ago the British Loudspeaker Company, Tannoy sold a 15 inch Dual Concentric Loudspeaker in a large heavy enclosure. This massive speaker could go down to 15 HZ ! in the center of the woofer was a compression horn tweeter to extend the range to 20,000 HZ. Unfortunately they don't make them any more.
