what are some advantages of women in combat?

if u had to write an essay on the advantages of having women fight at the front lines of combat what would your arguments b?

i agree that women can be weaker than men, and yes you would imagine a big strong guy holding a machine gun or something but women should be allowed to fight, just because most don't have a problem with letting go of the fact they they killed somebody who was threatening their country. women are usually not allowed in close up combat because "we are moms" and we are "supposed" to stay at home and do the cooking and cleaning. well sweetheart that is coming to an end, my mother went into combat, mygrandmother went into combat, and soon i will go into combat and show all these people who think that women can't do what men do, i'm gonna show them differently. men are veryprotective of women when they are in war because that is what their instincts tell them what to do. it is just that a long time ago women were afraid to fight for what they believed in and now that they have a place in the military some people are scared and try to oppress us. that is why women can't be a navy seal, or an assualt person up on the front lines of war, like some of us would like to do.

I think in a combat situation having a woman in a squad of guys involved in the way would get guys killed. We haven't even figured out inter office politics yet alone combat and I'm not saying that women cant shoot as well or fight as good but the feelings that could exist between people in a group would not be good. I think women should be nurses, drivers, tank drivers sure, that's not trying to be sexist but when you put a squad of men and women together isn't like living in a college dorm, you got a bunch of 20 year old people living together and working together and feelings would develop and discipline would be difficult to control. Its human nature. As well do you ever look at a male marine, generally they are built like pro football players or pro athletes, much more intimidating and much more aggressive in nature, human psychology testosterone is still worth something.

Two main reasons.

Numbers. Expanding front-line combat duty to women means 50% of the US population suddenly becomes eligible when they weren't before. In a world where we consistently can't make recruitment goals, that's not something to scoff at.

Equality. Everyone should have an equal opportunity to serve their country and risk their life defending American liberty. It's important to live up to our own ideals, rather than discard them any time we think it *might* impair our effectiveness.

They are needed to search women when they are on missions. It is very common for women to go with secret squirrel type units and search the women captured and or questioned. As far as fighting goes....uh, no....it causes too many problems. Combat arms units should not have women...i.e infantry, artillery, armor. A womans life would most likely be hell.

when u think of a soldier, not a US soldier just any soldier, could be a spartan warrior for all i care. the average human thinks of a broad strong man holding a weapon of some sort. women are also pshyically weaker than men(not being an asshole so go ahead and hate me for telling the truth but oh well) they are significantly weaker in the shoulders,legs and upper body. that is why all combat courses are closed to women(infantryman, special forces,machine gunner,assaultman, etc) lol notice how they end in..man..not WOman...

u ever hear of an infantrywoman? nope. today women in the military usually just drive transport trucks and defend convoys and i respect them alot because our trucks in iraq are constantly ambushed and those women in the military dont hesitate to lift their guns and kill.

but im talking for the annoying women back home saying.."why cant we join combat huh? were the same as men" truth is..UR NOT GET OVER URSELF. intimidation in a soldier also plays a role in combat


on the news in 2004 there was an interview with a marine and he spoke about how when a female soldier screamed, the insurgents underestimated the platoon and came out shooting. but little did they know there was a man armed with a light machine gun on their flank so they took out the insurgents boom no problem.

LOL so i guess thats an advantage....they make our enemies think were just a bunch of women out there, so lets rush them..and when they do BAM the infantryMEN take em out




im not gay, matter of fact i love women and respect them...they just need to realize they cant do everything men are made to do, and vise versa....personally i feel women are smarter and have more common sense than most men lol
