As you can see my hair has turned quite brassy/orange & I was wondering what kind of brown I could dye over it to minimize the orange/brassy tone. Would a "Light Ash Brown" or a "Medium ash brown" help with this? Or, is there a certain brown you'd recommend that would minimize brass/orange and make it more cooler? I need an answer quickly as I don't have much time =l

i. A light, ash brown will only cover the lighter
shades. But will leave more room for error and
a second application if you're unsuccessful
again.

ii. A medium ash brown will cover the darker
shades in your hair, however, you may not
want to be a medium, ash blonde. You may find
it to be darker than you like it.

iii. Your best option is to go to a salon and pay
for a toner. It won't cost you too much money,
and your hair be left in a better condition.

It's risky to trust the internet for judging color correctly, but my best guess is a light ash brown. It looks like the medium ash brown would be too dark. Be sure to use a product with a peroxide activator, not the other types. Better, have it done by a professional hairdresser who can suggest great looking color for you, and do it well.

You know what, I tried FOREVER to get rid of that color. I hated it. I feel ugly. What your going to have to do is either grow it out or get it professionally died. I tried to get rid of it forever though profession dyers and I would dye it myself... it just didnt work. So now I'm growing it out.
