It is for this reason that I do not like to 'argue' the Word of God. People who 'go to church' have been taught by their pastors, ministers and they have beliefs of their own. We are not here to disrupt that system. I will only say this - people who never read the Bible or who read it and never study, or allow the Holy Spirit to TEACH are ignorant of the Word. God gave the inspiration to the men who wrote and those of us who read, must really understand the language of the Greek, Latin and the history of the Jews in order to truly understand the Old testament and the New. As a Believer - I see no contradictions. Today, people believe that God can put sickness and disease on you - and then turn around and deliver you from it. That may sound like a contradition - and people believe that - but I don't. I realize and know that God has given us 'FREE WILL' and allows some things to happen because He cannot intervene upon your free will. You have the choices to make. People believe that when little children die that "God could have saved them", but that is not true altogether. When man gave up his authority on the earth - satan took it over - and therefore that principality is what we fight over! Yes, God can turn everything around in a hot flash- but He cannot upsurp the will of man - and His word will not return to him void. We have to believe, by FAITH - and that means sometimes things just don't have a fixed answer in our limited heads. Some things we just can't 'see' right now - because there are spiritual laws at work, as well as natural laws. They all work together. They were all put in place by God in the beginning. That is why we have a chance to be saved - Because he knew from the beginning that man would sin. God is love. God is peace and health and all the things that are good. Man is who turns things upside down and have allowed this world to crash. When we stopped loving and caring for one another and not just ourselves, we put everyone in danger of the the liar - satan - whose job is to STEAL, KILL AND DESTROY. (Fires, death, illness, disease, floods, war, hatred, drugs, alcohol, dissention, mistrust, all of these ILLS are straight from satan - killing and destroying our youth and adults) He's on his job - and we'd better stop playing these mind games with each other and get back to the root of this thing - Jesus said : THIS IS THE COMMANDMENT I GIVE TO YOU - THAT YE LOVE ONE ANOTHER, AS I HAVE LOVED YOU. That means, I love you the way Jesus loves you, PERIOD. I see no fault in you, only perfection - because that's what he died for - the new you- the old you has passed away. I see only the spirit of the person inside you - the true person you really are. Therefore you are free of sin, strife, judgement and I love you - my mirror is Jesus - I find no fault in anyone - only love in me and love in you. If we could declare that - then our faith would spring into action - because then all of us would be working in kind to lay hands on the sick and know they would recover, feed the poor, etc. The world would have to be a better place. The way it is now -people don't know us from the world - because we don';t show love. We close our doors and lock our windows and we live in fear - and my Bible tells me that God did not give me the spirit of fear - but of power (his authority) , love (His love) and a sound mind - (his mind - I have the mind of Christ)

Because common sense tells us that any book written by fallible human beings is going to have mistakes in it.
The bible is not fact. It's not even good fiction. It's a collection of oft mistranslated stories from many different languages, passed from person to person over hundreds of years, and put together for the purpose of presenting a doctrine that religious elite could use to control common people.
The reason people get angry at it is because it claims divine authorship in and of itself (which is simply absurd) and it advocates a code of morals and ethics for all people which have little relevance in the modern world.
It was written in a time when people were basically ignorant of the sciences and understood very little about the natural world. It is full of ambiguities, illogic and absurdities that almost any college educated person would balk at, yet many Christians will claim it's a scientifically and historically accurate text.
I hope this helps you understand.

Why do people who have never read the Bible say that it doesn't contradict itself and show ignorance toward it and God?
There are hundreds of contradictions, but here are two of the most vital:
1) The Bible says that God created humans twice in different ways. This proves that the story of God creating humans and watching over them is wrong from the very beginning.
2) The Bible says that Jesus was born during a Roman census of Judea in the time of Herod the Great. However, the first Roman census of Judea was 10 years after Herod died. This proves that the Bible's story of the life of Jesus is wrong from the very beginning.
...
Plus, the 4 gospels don't even agree on who the 12 disciples of Jesus were.
The Bible does contradict itself. God wouldn't be happy about you lying and saying that it doesn't.

I'm sorry but do you know who has and hasn't read the bible? Is there a list of 'bible readers' and 'non bible readers' that i don't know about? So how do you know if someone who says that the bible contradicts itself has read the bible or not? and if they are saying that don't you think that there is a high probability that they have read the bible?

How come all Christians assume that if someone doesn't believe in the Bible they are angry at God? You cannot be angry at someone you don't believe exists.... Also, there are many, many people who have read the Bible cover to cover and claim it contradicts itself.

Because it does, time and time again.
How about an example even you should be able to comprehend?
===
1Ch 25:3 Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.
===
Count 'em. There are five names, not six. Couldn't your god find a chronicler who could count?
Demonstrate the context that makes this correct.
ADDENDA
"Because evil is always louder than good,"
Willful ignorance is loudest of all.
"The truth has a way of putting people on the defensive"
Let's hear some.

Ignorance indeed! However I think it can go both ways when religious people get very offensive when people question their beliefs. They want people to hear their opinions, but not recieve them as well. I believe the bible is the word of God, but I have also studied buddist doctrine ( and many others) and you would be very surprised to find out the Jesus and Buddha taught very similar eithics.

Because it contradicts they're ideology and the hear say that they have heard from some one else and there own beliefs only if they would just believe and listen too the word of god with a humble heart and see that God wants the heart of man and his worship and see that God is loving God for it is written in the Bible that God is not the author of confusion but of peace and understanding it seems too me that mans contradiction is himself for it is written that man will kill himself and that is a proven fact of the word of God to this day. What i see is man's contradiction of himself an misunderstanding the word of God and man's misinterpretation of scriptures that was written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God that according to the word God the Mysteries of God are hidden from the wise and prudent but reveal to the meek and the humble in heart. Can we we say Born again everything becomes new when you truly believe in Jesus and that God rose him from the dead! You see the Bible says they believe in a form of God but they denied the power of God.

In my experience, it's usually not about the bible and God, but about those who claim to represent God and his word, who treat other people like dirt. Thus God==the original dirt disher.
I know it seems simple, but humans who are imperfect don't "represent" very well.
Then there are the Crusades et al.
I think the whole can be represented by the phrase "Who you are is speaking so loudly, I can't hear what you're saying".

Clowny theists amuse me - just cos Xians don't read their Goat herders' Guide to the Galaxy it doesn't mean others don't.
I've read it twice myself and I was never a True Believer⢠and nor was I tempted to be - I just wanted to know what the Invisible Sky Pixie believers found so fascinating - I couldn't find it in the first reading; it's why I read it again.
Didn't find it that time either.
Below is one of the many sites that list some contradiction in the GHGG.
Oh and I have no anger at your Invisible Pixie Guy and I'm not surprised you bow before a pixie who in essence says: You'd better suck up to me or I'll send you to hell.
No wonder you're all running scared.
