i was born & raised catholic but i grew away from that and basically all christianity, i tried buddhism but i couldnt take standing down if i needed to become violent
its been a few months and i feel like i need to find something that can complete me as a growing young man, something pure and free of corruption
any suggestions

I would suggest, that while you are searching, that you read the Four Gospels. These are the four books written of the life of Jesus and are revealing of the heart of God and of His great love for His creation. When you read the words of Jesus you will realize that He is the full representation of God the Father. Once you know Jesus then you will know God the Father.
Forget about religion for a while and just learn about Jesus. That is what I did, and I found such peace and began to see the big picture. Pray to God to show you what the words are saying in those Gospels and He will. The full meaning is hidden from those who are not ready to accept God. Those who are hungry when they read, will see the revealing of great secrets of God through the Spirit.
The Four Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament bible: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
If you speak American English, use the New King James or the American Standard translation for easy reading.

I am in the just now rebuilding my faith as well.I will no longer involve myself in an organized religion because they are pulling each other apart.I read and read and have gotten my own personal relationship with God now,and i am getting more knowledgeable too.

What have you done for God. Seek him and he will reveal himself to you.
DO THE WILL OF GOD
You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

It depends.
If you want to know God, then trust Him. You will have to seek peace with Him through Jesus Christ in order to know God.
