It is natural for any father to think that his child is the inteligent child. Likewise, the answer is the brainchild of the concerned individual. That is why he thinks it is the best. But from perspective of the selector a particular answer may appear as the best which very much goes with the sastisfaction level of the understanding of the answer as applied to his question at that time. that is all.

Well it depends on the person who is selecting your answer..
And if you have done your job sincerely then its over. It's not good to expect your answer to be chosen as best everytime because there are others also. But its best to answer confidently no matter what the result is..I mean you dont have to answer seriously everytime just add some humour to it if possible and by doing that you can make your answer more impressive and the other person happy..

In general, you need to agree with the person asking the question on R & S to get chosen unless it goes to a vote. It can be beneficial to your spirituality if it helps you to learn acceptance.
If you answer questions just to get best answer and not to answer honestly (in your view) then your spirituality needs all the help it can get.

like all; you too seem to have fallen into the trap of duality of the negative kind; i.e best and worst; or good and bad; and inspite of the fact that the truth is right there in front of all of us to see.
that we all are wanting to know knowledge and to prove our abilities to gain and give knowledge.
This situation has arisen because there are only informations
around us and within us; and not knowledge; which we are trying so desperately to know and to gain and give.
This is the everlasting truth; and not good and bad; or right and wrong; or best and worst; or better or good; for they pertain to only the informations which we have..
Knowledge can never be dual; for in truth knowledge is all about that want of self which can enable and empower the self to perform actions, for completion of tasks ,and for fulfilling the want of self of knowledge; which can be done only by knowing, gaining, and giving same ; but in thre form of abilities of same for same.

I've written good answers then seen better. I've written answers that I realized were dead wrong after. Your premise is flawed.
